In Generation VI, the gym more closely resembles an exercise gym, and contains conveyor belts, a lit central hallway, and switches that temporarily turn on certain lights to give a glimpse of the darkened maze. In Gen III, Brawly’s Dewford Gym was a dark maze that would light up as trainers were defeated. Two important locations that received complete redesigns were the Mossdeep Gym and Dewford Gym.
